Taking refuge in Him means merging one's egoistic vanity into Him. Attainment of the Supreme is difficult for those who consider the losses one incurs or the gains one achieves in attaining Him.
If someone considers the losses and gains, how can one surrender one's petty unit "I" to Him. One's worm-damaged mental petals of flowers shall be of no use in worshipping the Lord. Forgetting everything, even a grain of pleasure, one will have to merge oneself into Thy ocean of bliss. The feeling of merging all the desires is known as Rádhá Bhava or personified Love Sublime, the pure feeling of a true devotee.
